Thank you so much for checking out my blog! I’ve wanted to start this site for a long time and I am excited that it’s finally a reality. I think the best way to kick start this would be to tell you why I wanted to start the blog to begin with. So here we go!
1. Travel Guides: Travel has always been a passion of mine and continues to be a focal point of my life. When I was 20, I did Semester at Sea through The University of Virginia and on that trip a professor told us to never let your age be greater than the countries you’ve traveled to. I’ve lived by that motto for the past 8 years and it has given me some amazing experiences (that one night side trip to Bratislava where we stayed at a Boatel-worth it). I turned 29 this year and have been to 30+ countries, 5 continents and countless cities. I’m excited to share travel guides and must do’s with you all!
2. Sharing and Collaborating: Whether it’s providing recommendations for eateries in Austin, a cute boutique that I found up in Denver, or day trips I’ve taken in Italy, I love sharing and collaborating with friends. Giving others insight into my own city and how to capitalize on trips they’re taking has always been rewarding for me! If you want to know where to get a good breakfast taco in Austin or glass of wine in Venice, I’m your girl.
3. Finding Those To-Do’s: I’m constantly online looking at what’s happening in Austin and in the surrounding area. I’ve dragged my boyfriend to more festivals and events then I can count, some of which he liked (Craft Beer Festival) and some of which he didn’t (RIP the Rosé Festival). My goal is to document these happenings, answer common questions within the post and make them more accessible to others.
4. Connecting with Others: I follow so many blogs right now–travel blogs, food blogs, fashion blogs. At the end of the day, the blogs I connect with most are the ones where the writer is transparent. They bring up real issues, real events, real moments and share them. I hope to do the same!
I can’t wait to get started and I look forward to sharing more with you!
