I saw this little plaid dress at Forever 21 a few weeks back and knew right away that I needed it for fall. I brought it home, tossed it in my closet and waited for the perfect time to break it out.
Fast forward to yesterday when my friend Brittany and I decided to grab brunch and then swing by a local pumpkin patch to snap a few photos. While I was rummaging through my closet trying to decide what to wear, I came across this dress and knew it was time!
This dress is so simple, soft and comfortable and bonus, it’s only $22 and stocked in all sizes! It’s the perfect length to wear with over-the-knee boots or booties and the color combination is dreamy. I love the different tones of red and how well it fits in with an autumn scene.
If you’re looking for a good spot to wear this gem around Austin, a pumpkin patch or fall festival would be great. We went to the Tarrytown Presbyterian Church patch which is perfect if you’re looking for somewhere close to town that’s an easy in and out. If you’re in the market for more of an experience, Barton Hills Farm in Bastrop is another favorite. The farm hosts a corn maze, live music, pumpkin patch, kids activities and food and drink vendors.
