Happy {almost} New Year friends!
This past year was a whirlwind and I just wanted to say thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for following along. Blogging has been such an adventure and I love being able to share my life with you. To help close out 2018, I wanted to do a quick year in review and recap some of my favorite memories!
Ok, here we go!
January 10th, 2018: Ben and I celebrated two years of dating (and now we’re almost at three–crazy)!
March 8th, 2018: Henry was born and this photo of Uncle Ben melted my heart.
March 17th, 2018: It was a bittersweet St. Patty’s day as we celebrated at Fado on 4th street–the bar was set to close down a few days later. RIP amazing St. Patty’s day party.
May 29th, 2018: Announced this blog. WHAT! I can’t believe it’s already been 7 months since I decided to move forward with this idea. It took about 5 months of planning and this site launched on October 11th!
June 1st, 2018: 29 and feeling fine! Celebrated my 29th birthday with a surprise day date that hit all of my favorite spots in town {Ben got infinite brownie points for this one}. Ended the week celebrating with friends on Rainey Street.
June 9th, 2018: Girls weekend in Fredericksburg. My friend Brittany and I had the best time in this sweet little town. It’s a must for anyone in Texas looking for a weekend getaway! Check out the details here!
June 16th, 2018: My step-sister got married at the prettiest venue, South Farms, in upstate Connecticut.
July 4th, 2018: Celebrated the 4th of July on Rainey Street. I told everyone to get there around 11am–only to find out the bars didn’t actually open until 2pm. Oops.
July 17th, 2018: Ben turned 32–whoop whoop! We had a fun little date night and did craft cocktails at Peche and dinner at WuChow. Check out the recap here!
August 2nd, 2018: Discovered Rosé Happy Hour at Trace and my summer Wednesday’s were never the same.
August 24th, 2018: Made the first stop on our European adventure and stayed in London for 2 nights. LONDON BABY!
August 26th, 2018: Next stop, Amsterdam! A highlight was eating dinner at an awesome Indonesian spot and doing our Flytographer photoshoot on the streets of the Jordaan neighborhood. Check out the details here!
August 28th, 2018: Found the sweetest Airbnb in Zurich and spent countless hours eating homemade charcuterie boards and enjoying the view from our studio window.
August 31st, 2018: Made it to Lucerne and fell even deeper in love with Switzerland. Even though it rained 90% of the time we were there, it was beautiful. Plus, I now own a raincoat, so that was pretty monumental.
September 3rd, 2018: Made it to Rome and saw some amazing historical sites. We also ate our body weight in pizza, pasta, sandwiches and gelato. I mean, name a carb, we had it.
September 4th, 2018: Crossed Pompeii off the bucket list.
September 4th, 2018: Arrived in Positano and instantly tried to buy an apartment.
October 5th, 2018: Weekend trip to San Diego for my step-brothers wedding. Ben and I stayed an extra day and explored which was so fun! Highlights included drinks by Mission Beach and brunch at Cafe 21 in the Gaslamp district.
October 25th, 2018: Planned and hosted our companies 3rd Annual Legacy Conference at The Hilton in Downtown Austin. The after party was legend-wait for it-dary.
October 28th: A sloth and a flapper walked into a bar….we spent the 28th celebrating Halloween out on 6th Street!
November 14th, 2018: Took a work trip to NYC which included dinner at Carmine’s followed by a post dinner comatose that lasted a solid 48 hours.
November 22nd, 2018: Spent Thanksgiving in Connecticut for the first time in years! We were able to see a ton of friends and family.
November 30th, 2018: My blog was accepted to LikeToKnowIt and I shrieked for 10 minutes straight.
December 7th and 14th, 2018: Had two amazing holiday parties at The South Congress Hotel and The JW.
December 15th, 2018: Signed a lease for our new apartment in Clarksville! We celebrated at our friends 4th annual Ugly Sweater Bar Crawl on 6th street.
And those are my favorite moments of 2018! I still can’t believe it’s over, but I’m so excited to see what 2019 brings. Right now we have a big move coming up in February and some travel to California, Iceland and Scotland on the books!
I appreciate you all so much and I hope you continue to follow along. See you in 2019!
