Fries Before Guys: How to Celebrate Galentine’s Day!

Galentine’s Day is my absolute favorite! I mean, who doesn’t love a night out with their girlfriends? For those who aren’t familiar, Galentine’s Day is the day before Valentine’s Day and it actually originated on Parks and Rec back in 2010. Its come a long way from its TV origins and, in my mind, has truly become a true holiday of its own!

If you’re looking to celebrate Galentine’s Day this year, but you’re not sure what to do, here’s a list of my top 10 picks!

Plan a Dinner Party: Host a fancy dinner at home or pick a restaurant that you’ve always wanted to try! You can never go wrong with good food and good friends.
Painting with a Twist/Another DIY Class: DIY classes are such a good time! Most are casual and BYOB which makes for a relaxed and inexpensive night out. Grab tickets and spend the evening sipping on cocktails and creating a masterpiece.
Work Out: Probably not the most popular option, but get your sweat on with you girlfriends! Pick a class that you’ve wanted to try and have a workout together; Orange Theory, City Surf, Barre–the options are endless.
See a Movie: I’m dying to see Isn’t It Romantic {helloooo Liam Hemsworth} and it comes out on February 13th which is perfect timing! Grab your girlfriends and some popcorn, M&Ms, Milk Duds, Sour Patch Kids-basically all the junk food-and get ready for a night of laughs.
Go See A Show/Concert: Look online and see if there are any plays or concerts in town! Grab drinks/dinner beforehand and make a night of it!
Spa Day: Make appointments for a mani/pedi or for a facial at your favorite spa. Nothing beats a little pampering.
Wine Tasting: Find a local winery or wine bar and sign up for a wine tasting! It wouldn’t hurt to order a cheese board as well.
Gift Exchange: Think of this as a Secret Santa equivalent. Put everyone’s name in a hat, pick the person you’re going to spoil and plan a gift exchange!
Grab Drinks: Is there a speakeasy in town that you’ve always wanted to try? Maybe a hotel bar that’s been getting some awesome reviews? Pick a new place with creative cocktails and head out for a night of drinks.
Movie Marathon: There’s nothing wrong with laying low! Invite your friends over, order some Domino’s {pineapple pizza anyone?}, divulge in sweets and binge watch your favorite rom coms. Sometimes the best nights are the simplest ones!
