Welcome to our living room! Whoop! Part 3 of our home tour is officially live and I’m so excited to share our finds with you.
If you all have been following along, you know that Ben and I moved into a new apartment in Austin this past February. We took a majority of the pieces from our old place and then just added a few things here or there to round out the new space.
For the living room, we held onto all of our classics like our couch, coffee table and entertainment center. I would definitely call these investment pieces and I know we’ll have them for years to come! A majority of the items are still available and so I linked them below. I also included some similar options just in case you like the style, but you’re looking for a different price point!
PART 1:
Couch: Having a comfortable couch was so important to us, so we spent hours upon hours looking for the right one. This one from West Elm was an instant favorite. We loved that it was a sectional and we choose the color Gravel Twill.
Overarching Light: Such a great statement piece for your living room. I just love how it brings the space together and provides an alternative light option to your overhead. If you like the look, but want a different price point check out one of these: Similar // Similar
Geo Pillow Cover // Solid Blue Pillow // Light Blue Pillow // Circle Pillow Cover: Pillows are such a fun and easy way to add a little color into your space! When you’re in an apartment, storage can be tight, so just changing out your pillow cases is a great way to adjust for the seasons. Our pillows are a mix of new and old and we recently changed them out for spring!
Art {exact is sold out, linking a similar one from the same site}: Ohhh Minted! If you all have been to the blog before, then you know I’m obsessed with this site! They have such beautiful and unique pieces from independent artists and I just love the way this one pulls our space together. To save some money, sign up for up for their mailing list to get 15% off your first purchase.
Frame: Amazon snap frames are the best. This one is so easy to hang, comes in black and white and has a very clean finish.
Rug: There are no words for this rug….ok, there’s a few words. IT IS THE BEST. The pattern works with pretty much any style of decor, it comes in a ton of different sizes and it’s so easy to clean. I purchased it from Rugsusa.com two years ago and my only complaint is that I don’t have a bigger size! Note: If you all haven’t used Rugs USA yet, then you need to check them out. They sell quality rugs at such a great price point.
PART 2:
Black Chair: A Target find that’s the perfect dupe to this $1,000 leather chair from West Elm. Whatttt! It comes in two different colors and it’s under $170.
Furry Rug: The coziest 2 x 3 faux sheepskin rug that’s perfect on the floor or as accent piece on a chair. I bought this one from Pottery Barn when it was 40% off, so definitely wait for a sale if you can! If you like the look but want it ASAP, check out this similar option for $20.
Lombar Pillow: Another spring find from West Elm that really pulls our space together. I love the geometric shapes and the warm color pallet!
PART 3
Entertainment Center: My favorite part about this piece is that the right side is open and the left side is closed off. Ben is able to fit his gaming console and all of our odd and end TV cords on the left side and then we were able to put some fun decor on the right!
Books: Books by the Foot is one of my favorite design hacks. You can purchase books by color or type and then use them as accents around your home. I linked the set we have for you above and 2 feet is typically enough for a similar space.
Pouf: Don’t ask Ben about this pouf because it was a sore subject in our home for the longest time lol. “What is that thing for?” “What does it do?” “Where will it go?” All valid questions that I never really had an answer too. It doesn’t really serve a purpose other then being stinking cute.
PART 4
Table {exact is sold out, so I linked a similar one from the same store}: We bought our table about 2.5 years ago and it’s held up great. I will say that the marble stains easily, so make sure you get a good cleaner for it.
Terrarium: We have a few of these throughout the apartment and then some fake succulents inside! They make for great accent pieces.
Coasters: We wanted to bring a little of that Austin charm into our home, so we found these coasters from a local vendor and have them throughout the apartment. If you’re not in Austin, just google your city name and “coasters” and find ones that work for you!
Book: I bought this book for Ben on our first Valentines Day together and it’s been our coffee table book ever since. If you love traveling, it’s a must!
PART 5
Planter {Similar} // Plant: We have two planters in our home that add some fun touches of green to the space. I linked the exact one for you along with a similar one at a lower price point. The fake plant is from Target and is such a pretty shade of green!
PART 6
Bar Cart {exact is sold out, so I linked a similar one from the same store} // Cheers Sign // Letter Board: We’re still trying to master the bar car set-up, but right now we’ve settled on this design!
And that’s our living room! Thank you all so much for following along and stay tuned for our kitchen reveal up next 🙂
