Hi. My name is Lauren and I have always had thee hardest time styling my hair.
This is the part where you all say “Hi Lauren.”
But for real, ever since I was a kid I’ve had a hardest time styling my mane. My arch nemesis all throughout college was the curling iron. I mean, does anyone else clamp down on their hair *so* delicately with that thing, but still cause the dent to end all dents?
**Raises hand**
Going into the summer, I’ve been on the hunt for an easy hair style that my curling iron challanged self could figure out. I also wanted something that worked for pool days or just days outside in this crazy Texas heat. I came across Bubble Pigtails and was determined to make the look my own.
You can see below how my first attempt at the style turned out, it’s kinnnnnd of missing the oomph that you see on Instagram {I think some of that oomph is from hair extensions which your girl doesn’t have}, but I still thought it was a really fun and easy style that anyone could rock!
HOW TO:
Step 1: Purchase these tiny white ties. You can also grab them at Walgreens, Target, etc.
Step 2: Spray some texturizing spray in your hair to give it a little grit and some volume. I love this one, but any would work!
Step 3: Separate your hair into two equal parts.
Step 4: Put your first hair tie in on each side to create pigtails. Then continue to put the remainder of the bands in {typically 2-5 depending on how long your hair is} 3/4 inches apart.
Step 5: Once they’re all in, pull the sides of each section to give it a fun and messy vibe.
And that’s it! I just wanted to share this look for anyone on the hunt for a fun little style to try this summer š
Hope you enjoy!
