Picking out new art is one of my favorite things to do. I love how a new piece can quickly transform a space and effortlessly move you from season to season. From over-sized art to intricate gallery walls; there are just so many options for layouts that will truly make a space your own.
For the longest time, I thought that I had to invest in expensive pieces to get the look and feel I was going for. That idea gave me major design guilt; I just felt like I had to love a new piece forever or it just wasn’t worth the money I spent.
Over the past few months, I discovered Etsy prints annnd it 100% changed my life. Dramatic, but true. Suddenly there was an easy and affordable way to change out our art and I was hooked. I was able to get 5 new pieces for our apartment for under $25. Like, I’m shook.
You may already be an Esty pro, but if not here are the steps to take if you’re looking to give your art a similar refresh!
1.Look for Prints on Etsy: I personally like abstract, so I searched that and looked for neutral colors. As soon as I clicked on one piece I liked, the recommendations at the bottom were pretty spot on and I just picked out a few I loved.
2. Download Them: Once you have the pieces in your cart, complete your purchase and you’ll have them in your inbox in minutes to download.
3. Pick Out Frames: If you already have frames, then you can easily re-purpose them. If not, then Target, Amazon and H&M Home have some great options if you’re looking something new or different. Figure out which sizes you need to fit your space, what you have and what you need to buy.
4. Send the Art to Print: Make sure you’re grabbing the right size file from your Etsy download and then send to print. Shutterfly is a great option or MPix was new to me, but they do large scale prints and they were at my door in about a week. Amazon Prints is also easy and fast for anything up to an 8×10.
5. Assemble: Once everything arrives, put the prints in the frames and voilà, you’re all set!
