Last night, my friend Lindsay and I met up for dinner at Petite Boucherie in the West Village and then spent the night singing show tunes at Maries Crisis! I don’t typically share random nights out on here lol but it was so fun and I figured it might be helpful if you’re coming to NYC soon!
So first up, dinner! They have a few locations of Boucherie (including a new one in Midtown that looks like a DREAM) but I was so excited to try Petite! It’s a little smaller then the other locations and has a limited menu, but don’t let that detour you – the menu definitely holds it’s own against its bigger counterparts!
I’ve passed Petite Boucherie a ton since we moved to NYC and every time I walked by, I would stop and gawk. It’s somewhat hidden on a little side street and has a cozy Parisian café feel. The décor is gorgeous with dark wood tones, florals and an abundance of greenery and lights.
Lindsay and I sat down for dinner and we were instantly serenaded by a brass band that was walking by – gotta love NYC! We ordered two glasses of wine, the escargot and then two large salads with protein. Everything was SO good and we had such a fun night trying something new!
Once we were done, we headed over to Maries Crisis. I’d heard so many great things about this place and, as a Broadway lover, nothing sounded quite as appealing as singing show tunes and harmonizing with 100 strangers in a small local bar.
And this place did not disappoint – between belting out Rent and Hamilton for 2 hours straight, I was left with some of the best memories and, subsequently, little to no voice 🙂
Maries Crisis Tips: If you want to check it out I would go early, especially on the weekends – it’s teeny tiny in there, so once it’s full it could take a while before they let a new batch of people in. It’s also cash only (which I didn’t realize) so many sure you have some on you! The drinks are also pretty affordable compared to a lot of NYC bars, so it makes for an extra fun night!
And that’s it! It was such a great girls night and I officially have two new spots that I can add to my West Village recommendation list!
Ps. This blue dress is from Addie Rose Boutique in Austin. They have the cutest pieces – I would recommend checking out their site if you’re looking for something similar! The carry the best brands!
