If you’re coming to NYC for the holidays, Rockefeller Center is one of those “must see” spots. Since it’s located in one the busiest areas of Manhattan, I wanted to put together a quick and easy itinerary for you to follow! Below is the perfect half day itinerary if you want to see tree and explore the area 🙂
Half Day Itinerary
9:00am: Go ice skating! The rink opens at 9am and so if you reserve your spot online and in advance, you can be one of the first people out on the ice. You get an hour out there, so take in the sites as you skate around to Maria’s best.
10:00am: Grab a coffee at Ralphs (the CUTEST little coffee truck) and walk around Rockefeller Plaza. You’ll have great views of the tree and you’ll be able to grab some photos before it gets too busy!
11:00am: The shops open! If you’re looking to do some shopping, there’s an amazing Anthropology in the area and, of course, FAO Schwarz. Even if you’re not in the market for toys, make sure to go in and walk around. You can have a “Big” moment on the large floor piano!
12:00pm: If you have time, there are a ton of iconic NYC holiday spots within a 5 minute walk. I would swing by Radio City Music Hall and then make your way to Saks, the Cartier Store, and then down 5th Avenue to see the store windows (Bergdorf’s is always a favorite). If you have the time, stop at Hotel 1 for a drink.
If you have more time, The Plaza and Central Park are only a few minutes away from Hotel 1, so you could easily continue your day!
If you use this itinerary, let me know! I would love to hear about your experience 🙂
