One of my favorite dinners on our trip to Paris was on our 2-hour boat ride down the Seine through Ducasse Sur Seine. This was probably one of the more expensive things we did, but we all really wanted to do some type of sunset cruise and loved the idea that this one mixed the river with a 4-course gastronomic menu and wine pairing (other options were available as well!).It just felt like you were getting two amazing experiences in one!
The evening of our cruise, we got all dressed up and headed to the boat! We arrived a few minutes before it left, jumped onboard and were quickly shown to our table. All of the tables were on the lower deck and they were outfitted with white tablecloths and chic diningware. Floor to ceiling glass windows surrounded us and we knew we were about to have some amazing sunset views of the city!
One we had our table, we decided to run up to to the top deck to grab some photos. The boat was parked right in front of The Eiffel Tower, so we had fun grabbing some shots just before the boat pushed off from the dock.
Once we sat back down, we were met with a fresh basket of bread along with a menu and we went through and selected our dishes! Everything was coursed out and came out over the span of the two hour dinner. One of my favorite dishes was lightly smoked blue lobster in a homardine sauce and then the chocolate praline dessert was one of the best I’ve had. Still dreaming about it today. Since we did the wine package, each course was also paired with a generous glass of wine – I could barley keep up lol
As the dinner wrapped up, we decided to head back upstairs one more time and caught The Eiffel Tower glistening at night. It was just the perfect evening and one I’ll never forget š
