Just last week, an email notification came through from our wedding planner at One Wedding House. I quickly opened it and saw that our photos and videos were ready! I dropped everything I was doing…literally, my snack hit the floor…and spent way more hours than I’d like to admit going through them and reliving some of my favorite moments from that day.
Now that they’re here and I’ve had a chance to deep dive and pull out some favorites, I wanted to share a few things with you! Some of the below will be in this post and others I’ll link out to as they’re ready. There’s just a lot so I don’t want to overwhelm you in one sitting 🙂

Our Wedding Day
Here are some of our very favorite photos from the day and a few little memorable moments about each.
The First Look
I’m SO happy that we did a first look, but it definitely took a few months back and forth to decide. I’ve always wanted to do one and I had a lot of friends who did one tell me how special it was, but I was still a little nervous that it might take away some of that “seeing each other down the aisle” magic. After a deep dive into the world wide web, specifically Pinterest, I came across a ton of beautiful first look photos and realized how much I really did one want.
So in the end, we decided to go for it and we did our first look on a little side street in Soho, right by The Roxy Hotel. It was such an incredible experience and I’ll never forget the excitement and nerves I had walking up to Ben for that first time.
Now fast forward to the ceremony – the bridal party lined up, I grabbed my dads arm, the music started and we were on the move. As I turned the corner and saw Ben, I realized immediately that walking down the aisle towards him felt just the way I thought and hoped it would.
It was our second look, but hit like the first, and I can confidently say no magic was lost. It just felt like I got to relive that first moment on that little side street in Soho all over again
Soho and West Village Photos
After our first look, we spent 2 hours taking photos and videos around NYC. It seems like a long time annnd we both agreed that it may have been like 30 minutes too much, but I’m still so glad we did it! We originally booked this package as an elopement and then switched it to a micro wedding during the process, so a lot of the photography and videography was focused on us having fun on the streets of NYC.
We started our photos in Soho right outside our hotel, and then moved up to West Village where we were having the ceremony/reception. It was really important to me that the locations we chose meant something – I wanted to look back and recognize a street we walked down a lot, an area of town we loved, etc. The One Wedding House team did a great job capturing our style as a couple and really listened to us during the day to make sure the photos they took were ones we would cherish. Here are some favorites!
First Look With Dad
After our photos, we took a quick break to regroup for the ceremony. Ben headed over to the park to check on everything and I did a first look with my dad. This first look was also really important to me – I didn’t want to see him for the first time as I was about to line up to walk down the aisle. Instead, I just wanted a moment for us and our team made it happen!
I met up with him a few blocks from Jefferson Market Garden, tapped him on the shoulder and had this little moment with him. The second photo was actually him turning around and instantly telling a joke about how he didn’t realize it was my wedding day lol
And then next up was the ceremony! Coming soon 🙂
