So I’m not a huge Valentine’s Day person – I love love and I love celebrating love…actually, I like celebrating pretty much anything…so you would think I’d more into it. Reality is, Ben and I have a lot of special date nights throughout the year, so going above and beyond and doing a big dinner with an overpriced pre-fix menu, fighting crowds, etc. just never really felt like us. To each their own though, that type of evening can 100% be perfect!
We like to acknowledge the day and do something small and special instead – whether that’s making dinner together or doing a fun activity in the city, we try to make it feel very “us.”
Because I’m not a big go out and celebrate the evening kind of Valentine’s Day girl, I usually opt for a cozy look. Something fun (because who doesn’t love a good theme) but also something comfortable and ideally something I’d wear again throughout the winter.
A few days ago I was poking around Anthropologie and saw this heart sweater sitting in the corner on a little table. The second I picked it up, I knew I had to have it – it just felt so me. I loved the simple heart design and don’t even get me started on the built-in ruffle collar. COME ON. So cute. I brought it home that day and already took it for a test spin.
I’m not entirely sure what we’ll be doing this February 14th, but I can tell you that this sweater will make an appearance 🙂
